Convention bureau

Convention Bureau Event Park Amsterdam is an independent platform of 36 meeting and event organizations in the municipality of Haarlemmermeer.

We recruit and facilitate (inter) national business conferences, meetings and events and assist companies in their search for one or more suitable hotels, meeting locations and / or suppliers located in Haarlemmermeer. Where desired, we support in the first phase of creation, planning and organization. The meeting and event planner does not pay any costs for the advisory services of and/or the mediation by Event Park Amsterdam.

Among the partners of Event Park Amsterdam you will find almost all international hotel chains, many attractive event locations and professional suppliers.

His own little store

In my 2-week route through our partners last week, I had an appointment with Daniel Kaan, the new general manager of ParkPlaza Amsterdam Airport (in Lijnden). Daniel is an old acquaintance in the region. After many hotel management positions in Dubai, Nairobi, China, Bahrain and Amsterdam, among others, he became chief operations director at one of our other partner organizations in 2018: Claus Group. After a brief foray into Europarcs (2022-2024), he picked up the gauntlet in June this year, to give the beautiful Park Plaza business hotel a hefty metamorphosis.

“Wonderful to have my own store now! From the first moment I felt at home here. I received the trust of the head office and my enthusiastic colleagues. We will go wild in the coming years and will put Park Plaza Lijnden back on the map internationally!” Says the ambitious Daniel.

“Our hotel has everything to optimally serve the international business traveler, but in order to do so some things have to be changed. First of all, we will restyle the reception foyer and refresh the exterior. Next, the rooms on the top three floors will be restyled. I also expect to tackle the restaurants, bar and meeting rooms in due course.

Last but not least, we will also start working on the rooms on the lower floors. But during the renovation we will remain open as usual, so I have to pick it up floor by floor. No guest of ours will experience inconvenience for the next 1.5 years. I guarantee that!”. Thus Daniel.

Park Plaza Amsterdam Airport is located in Haarlemmermeer, adjacent to Amsterdam. The hotel has 342 rooms and 24 attractive meeting rooms.
