Convention bureau

Convention Bureau Event Park Amsterdam is an independent platform of 36 meeting and event organizations in the municipality of Haarlemmermeer.

We recruit and facilitate (inter) national business conferences, meetings and events and assist companies in their search for one or more suitable hotels, meeting locations and / or suppliers located in Haarlemmermeer. Where desired, we support in the first phase of creation, planning and organization. The meeting and event planner does not pay any costs for the advisory services of and/or the mediation by Event Park Amsterdam.

Among the partners of Event Park Amsterdam you will find almost all international hotel chains, many attractive event locations and professional suppliers.

The Pre-financing & Guarantee Fund (VGF) is there for organisers of international, multi-day conferences in the Netherlands where knowledge transfer is the starting point.

Pre-financing

Via the pre-financing scheme, conference organisers can apply for a free and interest-free loan under certain conditions; a kind of subsidy scheme for conferences. The amount of the loan is capped at € 90,000.

The scheme is intended to finance the start-up costs you will face as a congress organiser at an early stage. Money that, for example, can be used to make the first down payments for the accommodation or to develop the congress website.

Guarantee

When organising a congress, the lion's share of the income will have to come from participants' registration fees. Therein lies a big risk for organisers. If the number of paying participants is disappointing, it will weigh on the income and thus on the congress budget.

To minimise this risk, the VGF offers the possibility of a guarantee. A kind of congress insurance or event insurance, with which a congress organiser can guarantee that the congress can go ahead despite disappointing participant numbers.
