Yesterday, I visited our hotel partner NH Amsterdam Schiphol Airport in Hoofddorp, where Andie Verrijth recently took up the position of Marketing Sales Executive. What an enthusiastic and ambitious hospitality personality she is!

Andie is only 24 years old and just graduated from Eurocollege. In 2018, she started her career at NH in Belgium. During her studies, she completed internships at her current hotel and the Hilton in Dubai, respectively. Under her personal motto ‘Never burn your bridges’, she came back to familiar base after her Arab adventure to, in line with her ambition to (eventually) a commercial management position, strengthen her breeding ground and make a lot of professional flying hours.

The fortnightly visits, which I make to our partners from my role at Convention Bureau Event Park Amsterdam, help me keep the picture of their opportunities and possibilities in the hospitality industry fresh and updated. For example, Andie pointed out to me again that the hotel (less than seven minutes from our international airport Schiphol) has a meeting capacity of over 700 guests. Three large rooms, one of which is a cool glass greenhouse, surrounded by several smaller break-out rooms.

Do you happen to be in the area soon? Schedule an appointment for a no-obligation site inspection. A warm welcome awaits you!

Furthermore, the Green Key Gold certified business hotel has 419 spacious rooms, a lovely swimming pool, a Wellness and fitness area, a squash court and bicycles. With their own shuttle service, they pick up and drop off their guests to and from the airport, but on request, rides in the vicinity of the hotel are also honoured.

Thank you for your hospitality Andie! You made me realise again that our green region (the countryside of Amsterdam), with hotels like yours, has a great asset to keep the international MICE market permanently tied to us.

Regards, Michiel (Destination manager)
